Hey, had the same problem. It`s a matter of "support pillar resolution". Try setting it to a value of 1, regenerate the support and see if there are any improvement.

Ive had a similar Problem with a model from Thingiverse. Solution: you have to flip the surfaces on some parts (the inside perimeters are defined as "inside", it seems to be correct, but its an "outside" perimeter, since this object is hollow. I hope, you understand, what i mean ;) ), this causes the messed up support, because S3D creates supports until it reaches the outer perimeter and stops. When you repair it (under Repair/flip surfaces and then klick on the surface, where the supports goes through) it should work. In my case, it was the solution.
