Now that turned out great mate, that nice authentic HUON PINE, from the little island of Tasmania that I have had for 25 years….. was the icing on the cake. Did you burn the live edge? Cheers ⚓️🫡🇦🇺

Haters gonna hate, no matter what you make. I have never used a pallet but obviously enjoy the methods, humor, and projects. Your no waste attitude is the way to be. The sliding door cabinet is really cool project.

Hello from Montreal Canada. Every time you speak of woodworking and pallets I feel the exact same. Seeing trashy free wood become something beautiful is truly satisfying. Makes you feel good... on the inside!

Just about everything I've learned about woodworking I've learned using pallet wood and I have always given exactly zero f's what others think. I have a productive shop now filled with benches, cabinets, drawers, jigs and just about anything you can think of all made of free pallet wood. It has been all free and taught me so much. I would advise anyone to get into pallet wood even if to get a new perspective on it.

I get all the free pallets I could ever want from my work. Some of it is trash but a lot of it is really pretty. The guys have started saving the pretty ones for me!! Love your builds!!

Thanks for what you do and post Mark. I started with wall shelves and moved on to shoe racks, a plate rack, pirate chest (with a coopered top). So far, the last project was a bathroom sink vanity. You have been a big influencer in my hobby. Carry on M8. Take care & stay safe.

Nothing fancy to say but….. thanks for the time and effort you put into your videos and the encouragement you give to us all to give it a go. Cheers….. Pete

Did just that, I got started...! Collected pallets, started to break them down, it's tough at first as each new step is just that, new, never done by you before. Pallet buster makes it so much easier, and while I had a table saw, the thicknesser was a welcome birthday present. Latest addition was a cyclone dust extractor I made, and I'm into the first hall table. I have other things in my head to make, and I see new projects in every day settings. But the focus it to make and sell, aim to cover my costs, then carry on.

Thanks for the motivation 👍

Thank you mark. I have made hallway tables, floating shelves and coffee tables and more! All because of you. Now I have something to do during these long Alaska winters.

Thank you for making me feel, "normal." I just recently started my woodworking journey, and all I can swing, right now is pallet wood. You're 100 % correct that it's WAY too easy to let the sensationalized elitism of some social media presences, make you feel bad or "less than" by using pallets. But I've already tapped into something new, in my heart, with woodworking, and I truly appreciate your positivity and words of encouragement. Thank you, again.

I don’t know how you do it but every new video is more entertaining and heartwarming than the last one. Congratulations on another amazing project! Love the result!

Hey Mark I just want to say thank you, between you and Jasper i have learned soooo much and am taking the first step in just getting started. I've already started collecting and breaking down pallets. I have watched just about all of your videos and many of which i have watched over and over again. I love all the work you do with pallets and i honestly love seeing you mess up on projects. It helped me realized how its okay to mess up on projects and has helped me realize that i can work on my own projects as well. I just glued up my first small slab this weekend about 1 3/4" thick. Need to make a few adjustments but it was very satisfying to do. So thank you for everything you do and hopefully here soon ill be starting a channel as well showing off some of the unique ideas i have for pallet projects.

So glad I watched this. I wasn't going to. It popped up and I'm at work and thought, I'm just too busy. Almost swiped it off my screen...
Then ...by some weird chance in the chaos of space time. I managed to get a bit of time to scratch myself and saw your upload. I've been a subscriber for ages. I have some tools and wanted to get into it. But just have no time. After watching this mate. I'm going to make time. So I guess that means. I've just started.
Crazy thing, I even live in the same town as you.

I built my shop cabinets years ago from a huge Motorola pallet box back when I worked for them. It felt amazing when my Dad told me how impressed he was with what I built. I still use pallets when I find a good one. Love the tambour doors!

love what you said early on..."I make furniture from pallet wood, not pallet wood furniture" this is big thing. There is a tremendous difference between the 2

Mark, as always a great build, put together in a ‘top’ video. I just love your sense of humour and presenting style. Keep going and thanks!

I have 4 old growth pine 2x4s from pallets. Uncommonly nice stuff. I've also found cherry, oak, ash, and hackberry pallet boards. 100% worth it.

Mark - a few weeks ago I spent my lawnmowing money on a brand new table saw thanks to your "Just get started" video. Because it was my own cash the Manager couldn't say anything. Then a shedload of applets appeared on local Ebay which got trailered home. I've just been on holiday in Italy so am about to start building stuff!. I already built a tool bench, shoe rack, bird box and bird table. Thanks a ton!
