How to Use a 3 Light Setup for a Dramatic and Moody Photoshoot

In this episode of photography lighting tutorial, I will take you through a 3 light setup for a dramatic and moody photoshoot. First of all I will take you through the lights and modifiers I used in this 3 light setup.

I used 2 strip boxes, each placed on either side of the model from behind. These act as rim lights. I had a Godox SK300ii in one strip box and a Godox Ad360 in the other strip box. For the key light, I used a 105cm Photobox beauty dish from Fotoplays, with the grid on to prevent the light from spilling too much on to the backdrop. The beauty dish had the Godox AD600BM on it.
