Joe Biden drops out | LBC callers react

Joe Biden has pulled out of 2024 US presidential race and endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris.

The US president, 81, confirmed that he will no longer be seeking a second term on Sunday, a move that now flips the 2024 presidential race on its head.

Moments after announcing he was stepping down from the White House race, he took to X to endorse his Vice President, Kamala Harris.

While Ms Harris has the backing of the current president, it is unclear at the moment if she will be selected unopposed as the new candidate.

As an American, it’s hilarious hearing some of these British people professing to know what the average American thinks— especially when it’s based on what they see on tv hahah.. the average American is sick and tired of Trump. Trump has never won majority support and never will. It’s all about the independent voter this election cycle and Kamala helps to drive up independent support compared to Biden.. I also loved the Biden presidency, the guy got some incredible legislative wins. But his inability to campaign was a detriment.
