Once you master the stroke then you can think about increase the power without losing control, I suppose it is about practice and time, thank You Thomas 👍🏻🎾❤️

Hi Thomas, that's exactly what i'm teaching every days to my students, play with control and have 70% of success in your strokes, than and only than you would be able to increase the rhythm :)

Because playing with power and even the occasional brilliant winner is more fun than pushing the ball back into the court (a type of player I play with, he wins most matches but I get a lot of satisfaction from many of the shots I am able to execute. Working on control on the side by doing drills with another friend).

The answer is that the more consistent of the two will win. But if the most powerful player is more consistent than the control player, he's definitely considered to be a much higher level player. So if their level is similar, the control player will be more consistent and will most probably win.
BUT, everyone should constantly try to make powerful shots more consistent and more effortless, in order to be able to rise their level of play (consistent) and save energy in long matches (effortless).

Power came to me naturally after I started hitting the ball better

Logically, if they are roughly the same level, then they have roughly the same chance of winning!

But yes, control is more important for most recreational players aiming to win matches. But is it really us, the consumers of tennis instructional videos who are "crazy about power"? Maybe. But aren't many posters of tennis instructional videos even more obsessed with this topic, and less interested in the topic of control? Of course, I'm not suggesting that applies to Feel Tennis!

I would take control because it matters more under pressure

The second one. It’s like Martina Hingis against Wiliams sisters.

I think it depends on the level of players. For top atp players, all can play consistently with perfect controls. Power will be a major factor to win. However new beginners don’t master the skills of control: whoever controls the ball better will likely win a match.

I think power can help you improve game. if more power on serve then you will be able to hold ur service game and attack on return games.

Answer is control. I have a question. While serving on the deuce side, can your back leg be on advantage side, and the other way around can you dribble the ball in the deuce side while serving in the advantage side?

In tennis it is difficult to control the ball well, so control is very important.

I think that lower is the level of the tennis of the two players more important is the control.

This is more than a philosophy question that how we handle the UE, like we’re driving at downtown there is red light traffic

I feel like at a certain point in my progress, I need power and then I need to control that power. And then I reach a limit to my level where I again need power and then again more control of that power. And so on...
Maybe there is another way to progress, I'm open to suggestions.
Thanks for your videos

Control will win the match, Power will win the fun! I use the most of power I can that still allows me to win the match. Also winning 7-5, 6-4 is more fun to me (and for my opponent), than 6-2 6-0. I don't play tournaments, I play with friends (that are looking for power 😆). Would you prefer winning 300 dollars on a personal tennis lesson o 500 from your couch watching TV?

The player with more control will surely win Thomaz 👍

At 4.0 going to 4.5 level, you will need
both. I call it “controlled power” 😊
