2021 Volvo XC40 Recharge P8 0-60 Test - Can The P8 Accelerate To 0-60 In Under 4.5 Seconds?

Volvo has recently sent its first all electric model to dealerships for potential customers to preview and even test drive. With 402 horsepower and 486 pound feet of torque, Vovlo reports the 0-60 numbers to be 4.7 seconds. Is it possible to prove the P8 is able to hit 60 MPH in less than 4.7 seconds? I’ve had mine for a about 3 weeks now and while I don’t have your tools, anecdotally, I’d say it’s definitely quicker than 4.7

I wonder if the C40, with a sleeker fastback design and possible weight reduction, will be any faster. I had read that Volvo may have chosen to be conservative with the 4.7 claim, which is better than the alternative (*cough* Ferrari). Cool to see it over-deliver in a real-world test. Any tricks on the 4.4 run ? I just got one of these and tested it with a dragy and get 4.5 secs about 70 % SOC. I'm Wondering what battery 🔋 level should be at before it starts dropping off ? Just punch it from idle right ?

I will admit: my first thought was that it won’t likely get there, but my second thought was that it’s possible, maybe quicker. Also, did you do pull #1 twice already?
