Well if the government is trying to sue Rare Breed for selling an item that the gov. claims they knew was illegal, than why did CRS Firearms get charged with a crime for the auto key card instead of just getting sued?

Lawrence DeMonico did an interview with TFB TV where he stated that he knew the FRT15 would "ruffle some feathers". That has no bearing on whether or not the FRT is actually a machine gun. ATFs hang up is based solely on "single continuous pull" which is not the same as "single function". Even the 5th circuit clarified the statutory definition of machinegun in the Cargill bump stock case stating that the definition hinges on what the trigger does and NOT what the finger does to the trigger.

I just received a Violation of Federal Law from the ATF Phoenix Division.
They want me to contact them within 30 days to coordinate abandonment of the FRT.
Anyone else getting these? Any thoughts?
I didn’t think the case had gone thru all of the appeal processes to be able to do this?
Also, there is no mention of reimbursement, just give it back.

Of course they knew but it shouldn't matter and seems irrelevant because it's not a machine gun anyway. Just because they are knowledgeable about the government's stupidity doesn't change what is protected under the 2nd amendment and has no affect on the merits of the case.
