The effects, storyline, cinematography everything is spot on.

I feel marvel pushed them to be better.

For all those who are unaware, the Rock was initially fan casted as black Adam way before production of shazam. He caught wind of the fan castings and decided he wanted to play the character and because of his star power WB not only said yes but figured he'd better off doing his own movie rather being the main antagonist in the Shazam movie. Which brings us here now
