The 2022 Genesis G70 3.3T is a Remarkably Good RWD Sport Sedan

The 2022 Genesis G70 3.3T is not an all-new car for 2022, but a facelift of the older Genesis G70 sport sedan. Though the 2022 G70 3.3T shares a platform with the Kia Stinger, it's several inches shorter and drives differently as a result. Our review 2022 #G70 was powered by the 3.3T twin-turbo V6, making 365 HP and 376 lb-ft, but there's also a 2022 #GenesisG70 2.0T making a totally-enough 252 HP. MSRP came in at $51,945 for this one. Here's what we thought of the 2022 @GenesisUSA G70 3.3T RWD Sport Prestige both on the highway and on back roads.

What great review... bravo! So excellent of a review that I went out and purchased a brand new 2022 G70 3.3 TT AWD Sports Prestige fully loaded in Siberian Ice color. I also own a beautiful Yasmine Blue 2019 BMW M4 fully loaded with the executive sport package with all the goodies including a DCT transmission. With that being said the 2022 G70 in my experienced comparative opinion being an M4 driver I think the G70 is an absolutely fantastic sedan that is on par with anything from Europe in this segment. It has great power, great technological features, great looks, great handling, great quality throughout and it has all the qualities of a premium European sports sedan. In some ways it surpassed my M4 with features and content which is an amazing accomplishment for Genesis to achieve considering the BMW M3/M4 are considered benchmark of performance vehicles in this category. If Genesis can maintain this powerful momentum I believe that they will upend the sports car luxury market particularly at this price range that the G70 is selling for which is a lot of car for the money. Sometimes I have to remind myself that I'm not driving a German premium sports car, it's that good. Great job Genesis, I am beyond impressed. What a tour de force sports car.

Just bought this same exact car for 2023 except black with red checkered interior, really fun car that is easy to drive!

Dang that is a good looking car. I liked the prior gen, but this one would definitely get my money over the competition for sure. Genesis is doing a lot of things right currently.

I'm confused. You said the dealer didn't send you a fully loaded G70. The only thing your test car is missing is awd. Not sure what you meant by not loaded. The sport prestige is the top trim minus the awd.

Front end refresh - ehh, not my favorite. Rear end refresh - I like it a lot :) The G70 is an appealing prospect. Who knows, might look into one in the future.

Could you give a comparison of how this drives vs. the GV70? I assume it's quite a bit more nimble.

Ooh Ooh! Pass that Model 3 Tesla. I could tell he was pissed at 12:19 because he stepped on the accelerator and tried to lose you coming out of that turn. Not happenin'.

I like it. Unique looking car, and a small tune can turn it into a scat pack eater.

I thought the 4 Cyl was boosted to 300HP for 2022.
