I'm just a lowly builder by trade. I went to inner city schools and wasn't academically gifted. But, I understood instinctively that central banks were bastards when my teacher in junior school shown me pictures of wheelbarrows full of money in exchange for a loaf of bread in the Weimar Republic.

Economics is increasingly just becoming a smoke show for me. There's clearly so much going on behind the scenes that speculating feels like a waste of time.

One thing to also point out is that the act is changing a price is not costless. Changing printing orders, and re-advertising the new price as well as potentially upsetting customers over constant minor price differences. It would be interesting to see a review of nominal prices of more homogeneous goods in online retail or secondary markets like ebay. Say 3 years of data of 8GB of RAM.
