Regarding the YSL mascara, I’ve seen this technique where people put the coloured mascara on top of a mascara whose formula they like, so basically you’ll do normal mascara and then do a coat or two of the coloured mascara as per your desired opacity. Maybe you can try that out and see if it works ? It’s be a huge shame if you gave that mascara away since it’s such a pretty shade
