And how about the second time (near the beginning of the next episode) that the song plays again? It's Audra and Kyle's love theme for when they get tangled in the sheets upstairs at GCAC. In the second episode, where the steamy song replays, the lovers rendezvous again in Suite 567. These two have great chemistry and are overjoyed to work together every day ... and to work out any tension after night falls and stars explode.

Embracing Audra (his new boss) face to face, Kyle is looking forward to his first day at the new job. After a little sexy banter -- pillow talk while upright -- Kyle playfully extends his tongue as he exaggerates the word "collaboration." Audra (who effortlessly removes Kyle's belt as if choreographed) gets the visual of Kyle's double entendre. And so, after he kisses her passionately, she exuberantly tells him: "Mmmm, I like that. Let's celebrate."🎆

Cue The Song. ... The addictive slow jam follows the seductive tone of K&A's verbal foreplay:

Who IS this singer??? And I love that sensual guitar, the way it deliciously dips ... and pauses ... creating an illusion that Kyle and Audra are dancing. That is, before their ballet goes totally horizontal.

I remember thinking the first out of, like, 15 times, that I watched both scenes (I mean, A&K's lovemaking scene in each episode -- scenes that I viewed back-to-back on my DVR): No WAY is Kyle gonna try to save his marriage with Summer! Audra has him spellbound.

Now, two months later in real time (not sure of the timespan on Y&R🤔), Audra is executing Tucker's wishes regarding Kyle for nefarious means. So, for the first time I really feel bad for Kyle. Of course, Kyle is a reformed bad boy -- his adorable son the innocent byproduct of a liaison -- so it's not a leap for him to say, "To heck with the consequences."

What I wish the Y&R writing team would do is bring Noah and Allie back (soon, please!) and create friction among Kyle, Summer, Noah and Allie. They could show Noah having a distant flashback to a torrid love scene with Audra (to their own sensual music theme). They could have their music theme play whenever their paths cross. Such a train of thought could give all of these young actors chances to have intense and conflicted love scenes (and those b&w short-term-memory flashbacks), which would rev up the sensual energy of the soap. I understand that there's much going on with the older legacy characters. All I'm saying is that the Y&R writers could spice up the show more frequently with an increased number of rendezvous at GCAC -- en suite and on rooftop -- as well as in Chancellor Park ... or wherever.

For now, though, I'll take Kyle and Audra and that awesomely sensual ballad. ... OMG! The lovers sizzle beneath and above the surface à la Eva Marie Saint and Cary Grant aboard the train in Hitch's North By Northwest -- especially THAT scene where Cary burns a kiss into Eva Marie that has her knees buckling, and the lovers begin to collapse right there in the corner of that railcar!❤️‍🔥

Another thing: Y&R should take a page (from the music book) of the first few seasons of the show "ER": Every single time Dr. Doug's (portrayed by George Clooney) and Nurse Hathaway's (portrayed by Julianna Margulies) eyes locked *when* they connected on a memory of love, a wistful piano theme would play. But for Kyle and Audra, their theme is "Heat."

IMO Audra's portrayer, Zuleyka Silver, should be nominated for an Emmy next year for her superb changes of character *this* year. (Those facial expressions alone are priceless. I wish I could perfect an eyeroll like her "Audra." Naaaah, I don't have her chutzpah.) Silver's "Audra Charles" is an intelligent, witty, independent and, yeah, gorgeous woman. She is sufficiently manipulative just like a true femme fatale should be.😉

I hope that "The Young & The Restless" produces a music compilation that includes the song (let's call it "Heat") that is seared in our recent memory.❤️‍🔥 I SO would purchase such a music compilation. And it's uncanny how similar the singer's vocal timbre is to Ms. Silver's.
