Many thanks for your review of Isaac Watts, "A Guide to Prayer".
This is an exceptional book containing wise counsel regarding the privilege of addressing the Most High God in prayer.
As a mature believer in Christ, I have benefited so much by continuing to be a student in the things of God. That of course is not an end in itself but I want to be stretched to be at my best for my Saviour.
This little book is a wonderful guide to praying more effectively. It's not a 'this is the way to do this' publication. It's a guide, and a very good one at that. Our prayer meetings, generally speaking, require vitality and power. Instruction, found in Watts Guide, while it's not the only answer, would really benefit every believer.
Very little for Christ was ever achieved without prayer. Prayer in the Spirit with our eyes on the Lord Jesus.
The sections in the book provide clear and practical wisdom.
Again, many thanks for this review of such a splendid book.
You will never regret adding this to your library and if carefully studied will be a wonderful help in this dynamic work of grace as you pray.
Every blessing in Christ the King

I was so pleased that you added a comment towards the end that this book would be useful not just for 'younger people' but also for people of any age who are struggling to make meaningful prayer a part of their life. Thank you from the UK.

Hi Davis, I also own a copy of this book, but, alas, I have never read it. Your video has inspired me to dig out my copy. It is indeed a 'gorgeous ' Banner book. I try and use ACTS as a guide when I pray. Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, Supplication. Simple but effective. Mind you, Isaac Watts list in chapter one is more extensive but harder to remember. Possibly, most of that list can be forced into ACTS 😀. Thanks once again for all that you do and bringing this classic work to the public domain. Warm regards brother.
