I think people tend to forget that mike shinoda did not rap in his music because it was just some cool thing to do. The dude is literally an emcee down to his core. He knows flow, he knows wordplay, he knows the history and has studied it. Im sure if he kept up he could be a battle rapper, no doubt. Hes not a run of the mill, dude knows what hes doing when hes writing these lines, just like Em, Pac, Biggie, Jay, Eazy, all those guys. He knows of them and learned form them, its not like other rock rappers who just throw words over a metal beat and call it a day.

👐 Hands 🆙 every time that your man rocks! I told my 9 year old to tell bullies, "take an IOU" & " "REMEMBER THE NAME!"
She was being taunted and bullied to the point of self harming. Mike's music has given her self confidence. She did tell a kid last week, "At least I know my place, remember the name!" That bully was speechless! I was so freakn proud of her! She's doing so much better. Thanks Mike, we adore you!

This is amazing!! He really is his own artist!! I loved Linkin Park but Mike has more talent by himself than he even realizes. I get the feeling he’s modest about it. Rap is not my favorite genre but I generally loved his parts in the LP songs. This is some real shit. He’s gonna go somewhere with this. Chester is jamming to it in heaven. I know it!

I was fortunate enough to attend one of Mike's concerts with my daughter. I'll never forget it. It was so awesome! The aura was powerful. It's exactly what Chester would've wanted his best friend to do. He acknowledges Chester and praises him at every show. I praise his strength to keep going. He says in one song, it took 6 months for him to recharge his battery. He had to move on and this is the best way for him to do it. It's his way of mourning while celebrating his best friend's life.
