I love the attention to detail with the sound design in this game, every resource has a unique chime, oxygen and power too, it's really good.
Also the voxel system is amazing, like how did they even make that? I've played other voxel games and they are very chunky with 45 degree angles and such.
Also that 3D printing effect? Not sure what technique they used to do that.

Love this game.
Can't believe in a few days it's gonna be 8 years for me since first playing it.😅 Makes me feel old...

I don't know what the magic of this game is exactly(but some of it was perfectly describedin this video) but it's the only survival game I finished multiple times, coming back every year, and that I played from beginning to end solo(don't like playing solo usually).

About the grind, actually don't mind it at all here. There is nothing that gives you deadlines or anything like that. Grind is part of exploration and exploration is part of progression. And with progression grind changes and opens up more planets and speed of anything you do for progression or exploration or creative projects.

I bought and tried the game in 2021. I dropped it. I watched the video in hopes of getting inspired to play the game. The description made it sound like Minecraft. I love Minecraft, but barely play it nowadays. I will give Astroneer and Minecraft a try :)

i would say so, finished the dlc about a day ago and i loved it, not to say im unbias as i have been a fan of astroneer for years now.

My family bought the game sometime in Early Access. After a while we kinda got bored.
Then we picked it back up again after the mission system was added. We were more invested, but after a few cores, we again kinda lost interest.
The stuff that's been added in especially the Xenobiology, Rails, and Awakening updates make the game astronomically more interesting, and we got so into the game's lore we just couldn't resist getting Glitchwalkers right away. This game has gotten so much better and is truly a spectacle nowadays.

i have to disagree in the grind part. i played 300h in this game and i created a machime that CREATES every resource in the game just from scrap that i make with astronium. there is litelary no grind if your smart

I like the game but.. the camera angles are absolutely trash. I've spent about 25% of my game experience fighting against the camera. You can zoom all the way out and when you walk by anything close the camera will auto zoom up your ass and stay there until you change it again. Pull put your tool to start farming and yet again the camera auto zooms up your ass. Get in a vehicle... you guessed it... camera up your ass again. I rate 2* for shitty camera with no settings to fix the camera

I played one playthrough with a friend on switch and it was incredible fun (i cut co² and he died repeatedly). What should i say? We need power at the printer not the oxygen! 😂
