I think it's possible that the technology used to create segments may also be linked to the technology used by ei to create the raiden puppet and scaramouche. He may have done experiments on scaramouche since it has been mentioned that the fatui helped unlock scaramouche's full power as a creation by ei

Since we’re talking about him, I’d like to share a very interesting theory that I found on Reddit (I don’t remember who posted it, but I just want everyone to know that this doesn’t come from me). So, apparently, Dottore’s segments may still be alive because their destruction could be a false memory implanted in Irminsul. If Dottore somehow made contact with the tree like Scaramouche, he could’ve very well fooled Nahida into thinking that his clones are gone since her consciousness is closely linked to Irminsul. Therefore, any changes brought to the tree can affect her, just like how Scaramouche managed to make her forget about him.

What I find to be the most fascinating thing about him is how he got himself the 2nd rank
Despite childe's voicelines about the harbinger ranked below him, columbina, implies that she's probably the most unsettling or terrifying one to fight against
But there is no mention of Dottore's fighting capabilities, only his intelligence and experimentation is brought up

this creepily lines up with the fact that through Dottore's model leaks, he actually doesnt possess a "human" eye. Instead, behind his mask, his eyes looks like the ruin guards. This correlates with the Field Tiller reverse engineering theory

not only that, using that technology, Dottore has lived for more than 400 years, because in 3.3, it is confirmed that he was the perpetrator behind the whole Tatarasuna incident, which happened around 400 years ago after Ei lost Makoto. Which is saying something considering he's just a dropout scholar by that time

The first 3 harbingers need to be on another level, especially Pierro. Not just in terms of strength but also in storytelling and lore.

Dottore is so fascinating to me because he seems to be shaped as this powerful being who, after recent events, seems to be behind a lot of stuff, yet there seems more to him than that. How is he 400 years old still human and so god-like? How can he make his segments one as far as 10 years old? Your theory may make sense but I wonder how he came to gain it - ruin machines and help from Pierro may be true but I think there may be even more to it which we haven’t seen yet. Either way, Dottore slays

If you're correct then the original Dottore is actually one of the weakest Harbingers, with his segments being his source of power, he is currently much weaker now that he erased them. And it'll take some time for him to regain those segments.

What if dottre segments are as powerful as sandrone robot bodyguard and if it is I wonder if it has anything to do with the big robot in sumeru it could of been one of dottre projects before he got kicked out of the academy and now probably my worst theory if Fontaine is going to have many puppets can we expect a puppet in Fontaine working for the faitui because the heavenly principles seem to be there

The fact that he's only 2nd yet is capable of creating a god ( prolly he himself is one already considering how much experimentation and modification + years of studying the khaenri'ah, gods and their powers ) it is also important to keep in mind, that Dottore killed ursa the drake a powerful dragon not even venti, an archon could handle alone. This was by the way a weaker segment, which means the prime segement is capable of so much more. It was humanity's pride and might manifested physically. This makes me scared for what Capitano and Pierro is capable of

Another interesting thing is that Scaramouche is confident he can take on Dottore's clones. That implies not all his clones are godly. But again, he also said he would fight Columbina so he is probably just cocky.

This has probably been mentioned in the commends of this video before, but it's heavily implied that Dottore (known as Zandik at the time) was responsible for the death of another student due to him tampering with the ruin machines. However, it seemed like that academy was already wary/against the study of those machines in the first place, but this was the final straw that led to his expulsion (the first of 3) from Sumeru and them banning it outright.

I don't think ruin machines could reach the same power level of the gods but I do agree that Dottore's segments are made of something from Khaen'riah technology that may be much more powerful than the ruin golems that we see in Sumeru. If I remember it was also mentioned that not of his intellect but his combat ability is enough to ranked him 2nd so he must be really powerful physically. In the manga one of his segment also killed Ursa the Drake, a dragon who has been terrorizing Mondstadt for more than 1000 years so yeah that is also another evidence of his power
