Thanks. Solved my issue. Was thinking to reinstall my VMPlayer. Now, don't have to.

In my case, the VMware services were running already. I have deleted the lck file and also restarted the service. It worked for me.

When I go to services.msc, my VMWare is not there! Can anyone help?

After trying these solutions if still cannot the vm files could be corrupted.

i do the same thing ..but still i received internal error when i try to run my windows server 2003 vmware machine

vmware is not on the list at services

Did not solve the issue, I'm going to have to compile a check all for this. I've been through 6 different "fixes" so far.
