This lady knows what she's talking about. Rabbits need plenty of space and it's better to have them in pairs, unless there's a reason as to why they can't be. But it is better if there is another rabbit, because human company will never compare to the company of another rabbit, it's just a fact. As long as they're spayed/neutered, though. Anyway, this is a lovely story.

I live in Mexico and sadly, people here are pretty awful to rabbits.
I've seen so many treat them like toys. For some reason big black rabbits are a big thing here.
And I see so many people who just keep them in little cages all by themselves 24/7.
It makes me so freaking sad. One neighbor nearby I kept trying to buy the rabbit from her and she kept saying no.
So finally I at least got her to agree to accept 50 pesos a day from me for the rabbit to spend an hour with me.
And during that hour he gets to run around in my yard free and I give him carrots.
Truly it's overwhelming here in Mexico cuz so many animals are treated horribly and there's so many stray animals in the streets.

I love this! But bunnies/rabbits aren't rodents. They are lagomorphs, and have been classified as such since 1912.

As with any pet...do your research. It's not fair for any animal to be confined to a cage. Rabbits are beautiful but not everyone should have them as pets.❤❤❤
