Ismael Miranda, Puerto Rican singer and songwriter, also known as El Niño Bonito de la Salsa, joined Fania as a back-up singer when he was only 19. By 1973, he was an established musician. He burst onto the scene with the album Asi Se Compone Un Son, which catapulted his solo career. During his time at Fania, he collaborated with Larry Harlow, Sonora Matancera, Willie Colón, and was a member of the Fania All Stars. His single collaboration with Colón was the album DOBLE ENERGÍA (Double Energy), released in 1980 on Fania Records. The biggest hit on the album was the opener “No Me Digan Que Es Muy Tarde Ya” (Don’t Tell Me It’s Too Late), composed by José Nogueras.
