I feel like it should only be compared to Sekiro, Elden Ring is so different. The way you progress, the way you learn boss fights, it doesn’t feel anywhere close between them

Elden Ring is without a doubt my favorite game of all time followed very closely by RDR2 and Sekiro. Lies of P comes up right behind those.

For me lies of P is exactly what I wanted from a souls game. I enjoy the lore aspect of soulsgames but sometimes it just comes off as fairytales that don’t quite always make sense while playing. Lies of P has a very easy to follow story and is very polished in my opinion. I also really enjoy the combat and parrying. I can’t wait for the DLC!

lies o P is honestly 1 of the best souls like games ever, gameplay mechanically is awesome and graphically its just like i have no words lore is pretty alright too, i would change few things but the game is like 9/10 for me, might enjoyed it more then elden tbh but still sekiro and nioh 2 clears with ER and LoP right behind

Somebody saying that Elden Ring is overrated, WITH A BLOODBORNE PFP, is a red flag. Like, a HUGE red flag.
I like Bloodborne, but Bloodborne fans, a lot of the time, are kinda toxic.

Going back to Elden Ring though, it's an achievement, and that can't be denied, but saying that it's "the best", heh, I dunno.
I think that this fixation with "the best" is kinda annoying, let's talk about our favourite games, without imposing our opinions on others!

I prefer Dark Souls 3 or Elden Ring for example, but I can see why someone would prefer other games, so I would never call either "the best". I mean, these games are BIG, and as a result, there's gonna be things we love and things we hate, in every single one.

I don’t believe we should discredit the people that brought souls like games into gaming. Games that aren’t made by from software and are similar are literally called souls like because they use the same formula with small twists.
I don’t think it’s a stretch to say that lies of P wouldn’t exist without the souls games, and elden ring is a great game as it’s not the same old linear souls game that from software makes.
They took a deep dive to experiment with something new in the souls genre, and did it very well while also being the first open world they made. There may be reused assets or enemies, but there are still 100’s and 100’s of hours of content that are not copy paste.

It's probably because ER had the life sucked out of it by the entire souls community. A ton of souls youtubers don't post ER vids as often because there's just nothing left. Once the DLC drops we will get another couple months of content but then it's back to waiting for the next bug souls like or title from fromsoft

They are all great! I knew I was gonna like Lies of P from the first time I saw the trailer...It definitely has issues, but they all do...Once you figure out the parry it becomes very addictive!
