Very clever mod for the too long sweater. Once you have one that is the perfect length, you can use that as a template for future dimensions. I keep an index card with sleeve and body lengths for my husband and sons. I enjoy your podcast. I am so inspired with your resourcefulness and creativity.

I was thinking of learning to weave years ago but never took it up so I'm so excited to see you're trying it out! I'll live my weaving dreams through you ahaha!!! I've never knit a bottom up sweater before but not being able to try it on as you knit, is definitely one of the reasons why I find it intimidating. I do prefer patterns giving me measurements rather than number of rows because I always 100% have too large of a row gauge.

Lovely jumper. Sounds like a very traditional, straight needle pattern whereby you start at the bottom hem then knit a certain number of inches to where the armpit or raglan started, I’m sure he’ll love the jumper. I’m looking forward to you wearing the cardigan (it’s right up my alley🥰). The dress really is looking nice in that material. You could almost make a jacket with the pattern couldn’t you. I think you mentioned sewing your weavings to the lumbar pillow. I would suggest you make a slipcover of your weavings, to avoid the problem you are trying to fix. If you make a slipcover, you can remove it and wash it and tie/button/zip it back on clean whenever the need arises.
