Merry Christmas, friends!!! Thank you for another wonderful year of music.

This song is so jazzy we couldn't resist asking dad to join us on the saxophone and he was a blast to have on stage again on tour to surprise people with for the encore. The outro is fun because our grandma, Jeannine, is 92 and Macy is 1! Special times for our family for sure :)

►LYRICS - The Christmas Song
Chestnuts roasting on an open fire
Jack Frost nipping at your nose
Yuletide carols being sung by a choir
And folks dressed up like Eskimos

Everybody knows a turkey and some mistletoe
Help to make the season bright
Tiny tots with their eyes all aglow
Will find it hard to sleep tonight

They know that Santa's on his way
He's loaded lots of toys and goodies on his sleigh
And every mother's child is gonna spy
To see if reindeer really know how to fly

And so I'm offering this simple phrase
To kids from one to ninety-two
Although it's been said many times, many ways
Merry Christmas to you

And so I'm offering this simple phrase
To kids from one to ninety-two
Although it's been said many times, many ways
Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas to you

Merry Christmas one and all! It's always so fun to see you in the comments section, thank you for all your support. A big thank you too, to Frank and Roberto who work so hard to translate and convey the essence of the songs! And to all the people behind the scenes who help make things happen 🎄✨

Ellen did a beautiful job with the lead vocals.

Ellen's voice is just beautiful, and dad on the sax was the bow on top. Outstanding job Petersen's and Emmett.

Dropping the sax in was a masterful touch.

Oh my Jerry Douglas would be speechless with that intro and wow right to the final fiddle note with the whole song. (that would be the fiddle note where I would have made it screech) Peace, Health, Happiness and Love, today and always.

Got to see them perform this live at the Arlington Music Hall in Arlington TX a few days ago. If you haven’t had a chance to see The Peterson’s perform live make it a bucket list item. They are a must see in person.

One of my biggest dream is to go to the USA one day and spend an evening with this great family. I've been playing guitar for a few years, maybe we could even "jam". If we took a photo together, it would always be on my fridge. :)

I love the tag. One of my favorite photographs is of my mother-in-law, my wife, my daughter-in-law, and my granddaughter all sitting on our porch. I call it "The four most important women in the world".

Ellen, "the voice" of the midwest, returns in all her glory! Some songs seem to have been written for her! And dad Jon also returns to embellish this song with his saxophone. Not to mention Emmett's intro on the dobro that reaches space levels of artistic virtuosity! But, of course, the whole band gives its best to recreate the Christmas magic with this timeless classic. Finally the outro, where three generations give the deep meaning of family and love that knows no age. ❤
To all of you, to all the Patrons and to all the fans around the world... MERRY CHRISTMAS! 🎄🎄🎄

Emmet’s dobro intro, Ellen’s crystal clear yet warm voice, Katie’s beautiful dress, Jon’s surprise appearance, and adorable Macy with the matriarchs of the family: just a delightful gift for Christmas! Thank you so much. Listened to it in the car on the way home from Christmas Eve church service. Now I’m ready for Santa 😊

Once every couple of decades, someone does a version of a holiday song that becomes the "best" version. This is that version of this song. The 12/8 makes it IMPOSSIBLE not to tap ones toes while listening.

11AM ‘Eve, finished stumping a log road back to the Isham. Still need to to clear the driveways for Mom and my sister, but spouse insisted birdfeeders get topped first. (Tomorrow is Christmas Bird Count!).
Sat down to listen to this first.
A very calm, quiet thank you. Lord Jesus bless
