I am glad that Scotty reviewed this vehicle. I completely agree with this video. I can say as a Town car owner that I love my town car and I will drive it until it dies.

I have a coworker with a 2002 Grand Marquis. 490, 000 miles on the original engine and transmission. Car ain't in great cosmetic condition but the mileage is so high that he wants to keep it just to see how high it'll go.

I got a 2005 Mercury Grand Marquis. I bought it in 2012 for $5000.00 with 40, 000 miles. Still driving it today with 140, 000 miles on it and nothing but oil, brakes and tires. Really best car i"ve ever owned.

Those who think older vehicles are money pits, they are in for a big surprise with their new/newer ones!

I've had my 2004 Mercury Grand Marquis for almost 6 years and she's taken me to Florida and back twice. Averaged about 67mph the whole way and got between 27 and 29 MPG. Those 4.6L V8 engines are powerful and indestructible. Sure wish that they still made those cars.

I got over 465, 000 miles on my 2007 Town Car and its still on the road today with original engine and transmission.

The panther platform is bulletproof. I had a new 1986 Crown Victoria. Most comfortable car I’ve ever owned.

I know a limo driver that had a few of these Town Cars and he put over 500k miles on all 3 of them

It may not be the windshield leaking, all panther platforms are known to leak around the air intake gasket for the climare control in the wiper cowl

My 2001 runs perfectly. $1.200 at an estate sale. 7 years ago. Still runs great. It's my second car. Not my everyday car. Still I drive it a lot. 220.000 miles now

As a recently retired cop, the Crown Victoria was the most durable units we ever had. were all pretenders. Panther platforms were the last body on frame cars ever made I believe.

I have the exact same car, but thankfully mine is in PERFECT shape, and still looks awesome. It IS a couch on wheels, and I LOVE my Lincoln Town Car!❤

Full frame, lots of comfortable room on the inside, North/South V8, aka NO FWD, easy to work on, inexpensive and plentiful parts available. FORD screwed the pooch when they stopped production. Crown Victoria - Grand Marquis - Town Car and don’t forget the Marauder! Only down side is replacing the “blend door actuator”…it takes some time

Bought an '06 last year and love it. 1) The leak is likely the cabin air intake area. Debris clogs up the screen, it fills with water and leaks onto the passenger floor board. There is no cabin air filter. 2) The vent door actuators; mode/blend/recirc are notorious for failing in Panther platform cars. Mode door actuators require dash removal. Mine has no floor vent mode, panel and dash only, so I might just live with it.

After living a life as a luxury cab, these cars had another life as a Gypsy cab. When I left NYC in 2012 they were all still on the road. From wrecks to pristinely leapt examples, they were all still rolling down the road. Even ones from the 80's.

I would definitely pay the money for the evaporator replacement in that Lincoln! Thise engines run forever and the transmission/rear end are amazing if you keep them maintained. Those engines are so plentiful and easy to rebuild that as long as the car isn't rusing put, you could rebuild that car to brand new for a quarter the price of something new that is as nice.

We have a 2005 with only 50k. We inherited it from my father in law who only drove it to church on Sundays. It’s a California. Car. We brought my mom out from California to TN and it didn’t miss a beat. We are constantly getting thumbs up as we drive down the road.
