Poland in 2024 is THE most developed Economy in the European Union. The speed of their development is astonishing. Basically all EU and outside EU (UK) should take example of it. Poland is an exceptional example of how they managed to attract back a GOOD amount of their Polish immigrants. Polish food is the BEST food in Europe (possibly in most of the world too). I am not Polish and I do not have any direct relation to Poland. I wish I could speak and write Polish. If I did I will be running directly in direction Poland. I have been just 3 times there but I am absolutely not done visiting this hidden European pearl. No harsh thefts on the street like in Barcelona, no terror attacks like in Paris, no weed smell on the street like in Amsterdam, no stray dogs like in Athens, no crowds and no super high prices like in Rome. Safe, clean, not so expensive, beautiful, full of history, culture and architecture.

Justin: You need to refrain from referring to Poland as "Eastern Europe". Rid yourself of the old Cold War mentality when Europe was divided into "Western Europe" and "Eastern Europe". This 45 year post WWII era was an anomaly/aberration in European history. It is now 2023. Poland is central Europe along with Slovakia, Hungary, Austria, Czechia and Germany. The Cold War has been over for @34 years now. Time to get up to speed on this matter.

Dear Justin, if you want to live in Eastern Europe, you should travel to Belarus, Ukraine, Russia or former Soviet republics such as Lithuania, Latvia or Estonia. Poland is not Eastern, it is a Central European or if you want to be precise is Central-Eastern European. I find it bizarre that you are coming to Poland and you treat Poland with a Cold War mentality where there is only West and East of Europe - that's incorrect. The Cold War ended over 30 years ago, time to move on and recognize the existence of Central Europe that includes Poland, Hungary, Slovakia and Czechia.

I'm coming to Krakow next week, was there a few months ago as well. I have to say that this is somewhat surprising, some prices are coming close to the UK, may seem reasonable to us, but you have to remember that wages in Poland are a lot lower, this is quite a price hike compared to before the war in Ukraine.

Poland is one of if not the safest countries in Europe due to them not taking fake refugees from outside the EU like Afghanistan or Africa.

The grocery prices are extremely reasonable! I live in Los Angeles, California USA 🇺🇸 and you can’t get anywhere close to those prices. We are at least 4x higher!

This mall in Krakow is similar to the malls in South Africa...the prices too..😂.. Food prices in SA has also increased drastically since the war started.. Looking forward to visiting Poland soon.

Prices are just crazy in Poland now, I guess people coming from other EU countries still find it cheaper than home but living here is a struggle for lots of people at the moment

I’ve eaten at that buffet a few times. Fair quality on their food and it used to be super cheap but not anymore, just like most everywhere else. I remember a full plate was around $4 back in the early 2000’s.

Prices are basically 1:1 with Romanian prices. Some groceries are cheaper in Poland, though.

Supermarket prices seemed ok ...fruit and veggies are getting ridiculously expensive everywhere except the fact the quality and taste is very low in the usa.

Poland's term "Eastern Europe" offends us because it puts us in a row with the Russians and the Turanian civilization. Regardless of whether it is geographically correct or not.
