At 3:31, Giant Spineling projectiles have a penetration rating of 10. That means they can penetrate through a whopping 10 walls. It's a little ridiculous, but that would explain how it managed reach so far.
For comparison, piercing coilgun ammo and railgun shells can pass through only 1 wall, so that means some big spikey fish has 10 times the penetration power of advanced electromagnetic superweapons for some reason.

The switch in command room was there so that when pesky crewmates leave the airlock door open and forget to close it, the captain has the power to fix it from his room instead of ordering a drugged up security to do it

If i could, here's a suggestion for another submarine to review: Gato Revamped. Its got some neat things like a manual docking hatch override and a deconstructor that outputs outside the sub, among some other interesting design choises with door placement.
