Glad to hear this because loofah sponges and the long brushes have definitely not worked for me. I’m looking into that bottle brush asap!

My grandma isn’t a zero waster but she’s always used a plain old “rag” or wash cloth to wash her dishes! I admire it. Have you ever tried a dish rag?

You can grow the loofah in the garden, then you won’t have to buy any and can compost them when they are worn out ✨💕

I started using the wooden brush a year ago and I've been hooked. My husband and I were gifted a scrub mommy as a stocking stuffer, and we never think to use it because we love the wooden scrubber so much.

I crochet dish scrubbers from cotton yarn and use those. I have also used a tougher yarn hut it wasn’t natural material. You could probably use a rougher natural yarn like jute or something similar. The best part is I can put them in the washer with my towels.

What would you recommend for new eco-friendly folks?

How often do you change out the head on the wooden brush? And do you have to change out the pot scrubber at the same rate?

This was honestly so helpful! Thank you so much!

I think scrub daddies are also a good switch compared to regular sponges. While they are not as environmentally friendly as natural sponges, they can last me months, causing less waste overall

Curious if you’ve found any green alternatives for dish washing gloves. I have sensory sensitivities and washing dishes without gloves is a big no for me.

I use cloth sponges since I can sew and it’s incredibly versatile in the types of materials that can be used and requires so little fabric that there’s like a 5000% chance that I already have all the required materials

I've been using wash rags for a while but have needed something for cups that are hard to reach into! I'm going to have to look into the bottle brush!

How do you keep them so that they don't mold and go bad? I want to try them out but I'm scared that they won't last

Is there a decent bar soap for dishes that anyone would recommend? Would Dr Bronner’s be a good option?

Do loofah sponges hold bacteria in them like other spinges? I use 2 weeks and i throw away i do not scrub raw meat cutting board after use with sponges because bacteria stays inside
