Is IKEA's gaming range worth your money?

I head down to my local IKEA to check out their new gaming range in collaboration with ASUS Republic of Gamers. Also I butcher all the Swedish product names. #IKEAgaming

Honestly I'm looking as in the price point for the non-standing version almost everything you find online has a 2 or 3 piece desktop for anything over 48 inches (122cm), which seems to be a really standard practice. So being able to pick up a 63-64 inch (162.5cm) wide desk that is one solid piece is very very appealing to me.

I just got a huvudspelare 2 days ago and it’s actually comfy for me at least. I am short so it’s perfect for my head. I like it so far though it does take a bit to break in the wheels, they come super stiff and pretty much unable to roll but now I can kinda glide. I’m going to give it a couple more days and I might edit it on progress

I brought an utespleare desk last month and a Matchspel gaming chair a few days ago. I think they are both great for gaming. The only negative I have with the Matchspel chair is that you have to really lower it to sit nicely by the desk, which can be very uncomfortable without having a wrist rest, and also forces you to sit with your arms in a very awkward position.

Despite this, I still think both are really good gaming items as the Utespleare desk provides plenty of room for massive setups, and the Matchspel is great for a chair. I still do not believe the chair is worth the £150 price tag here in the UK.

Bought a Matchspel (White) from IKEA Singapore and it was defective. The mesh backing was soft enough that the metal bar presses against your spine when you lean back with any force at all. Hoping for an ethical response from IKEA Singapore that sold a defective product.

My husband’s Uppsel’s motor/controls broke just after a few months. So disappointing since the quality isn’t as good as it looks. The table is easily ruined when you put your cold/wet drinks on it. Such a dust magnet as well. IKEA is willing to refund but we have to bring the table to the store. Bummer

Also, it’s a lot noisier compare to my Flexispot sit-stand desk with a single motor.

Can you take the desk off the leg the uppspel comes with??? You might be wondering why not just buy the legs only, Well I live in CA and they are selling the standing desk + the chairs + the drawer in a bundle, was going to take the desk off and the Karlby from ikea.

Hi, I have a dual 27" monitor setup but I'm looking to put my pc on the same desk instead of placing it below or on a separate drawer unit. Is the Ikea Utespelare wide enough? Appreciate any help, thanks!

ALL chairs by Ikea are trash. Gaming or not. There are cheaper better ergonomic chairs.
