I find it hard to see how this is controversial. Aside from safety, two large communities of similar culture are going to have lots of travel between them, since people have friends and families in the other community. That reason alone is a good reason for a direct bus route

They could've just extended the 210 to Stamford Hill. Some might say that it would have to do a double run at Finsbury Park. In that case, they should turn the 310 into an express route so it avoids duplication, and potentially be part of Superloop 3.

Wonderful... Can they now spend effort into making a good timetable for the 365, one preferably that allows for time to get to Havering Park without a curtailment...

This sounds like it was a long time coming, regardless of the antisemitism.

I'm surprised Stagecoach won this with existing diesels, since almost everything (barring the P4) is getting won with promises of an electric fleet.

Nice video and it's interesting to see that this is (iirc) the most westerly Stagecoach route, surpassing the 205.

I would have argued for a route that started in Clapton (slightly further southeast from Stamford Hill, and with a continuation of the local Hasidic community), and for the bus to have gone via Nags Head, as that would have avoided the issue with double decker buses not being able to go via Stroud Green Road.

And yes, I think the arguments against this, either saying how awful London is because Sadiq is a Muslim and that's why it's bad, or arguing that Jewish people are being given some kind of special privilege, are overblown.

It's a useful bus route for everyone in its own right, I just think the timing of it (even though it's been campaigned for over a 15 year period) means people read into it too much.

Imagine the fuss if the Victoria line was opening tomorrow and a press release said that it was there to "connect the Afro-Carribean communities of Brixton and Tottenham". All the gammon would be moaning about how it was a waste of money. Of course, the Victoria line does happen to connect two areas with a significant Afro-Carribean community, but it's useful for 99 other reasons as well.

He will probably cut loads of bus routes now he wants to pedestrianise oxford street

If i can describe the 310 with 4 words, it would be the following.

A Waste of time.

Especially because we already have the 210 and the 253 so what is even the point, and why would they make a route that goes towards Finsbury park but not actually make it stop there.

As someone who clearly looked Muslim, I was impressed with how considerate the Jews are. So yh, this bus gets an A* in my book

Not sure whats controversial. TFL is just doing their bloody job of providing bus routes where there is demand. This is a trial after all!
