Fellow Brit. My dad was following the trump court cases every day on YouTube right up to the day he died just 9 months ago aged 100 years and day. He was a Royal Marine who fought in world war II. He served for 7 years and saw unspeakable things. He hated trump with a passion, seeing the danger.
When he knew he was close to the end he said he had one regret, "I won't see trump tried and locked up" It really bothered him. I feel enormous sadness for the USA, Europe and Ukraine and especially for my dad. He would be shocked and gutted. He and his fellow men fought and sacrificed for our freedoms and these Republicans have tossed it aside.
I've long been aware of the shallow values of some Americans, but this shockingly shows it's the vast majority. They still believe they are the envy of the world, but I've never thought that and they have definitely fallen from that pedestal now. Anthony you have offered so much insight into so many aspects of this that the British media just doesn't touch. I've learned so much. Thank you.

I cant believe this is happening. Me and my children voted for what is right. We voted for not just today but for tomorrow and the years to come. My state went Blue but it wasnt enough. My daughters cried. My sons couldnt believe this man won. This was a time where my children where crying and i couldn't fix it or make it better. From my youngest of 18 to my oldest of 30. I look at my grandchildren and think of the ones that one day will be born and i pray my children wont go through a life or death decision like i had to more then once. For hope and happiness for a baby that didnt make it to be born. As a mixed race Black, White and Native American women who looks at her children that are not just everything i am but are also Black Puerto Rican from my husband. I know what racism is because i learned what it was when my dad got pulled up on by a cop all because he was holding his 5 year old daughters hand and the cop thought my dad stole me because my skin tone was a different color. Hearing this cop calling my dad names like "Boy" and other things i will not say. Just like my husband who got pulled over on the same street 25 years later because they said he "Fit the description of someone they were looking for." Who ended up being a tall skinner white man who had no hair. Not to mention all the things i went through myself. My heart aches for our planet and all our allies. For every minority and the wars. For people who just want to love who they love. Or those who just want to feel comfortable in there own skin. To the women who need to make decisions that others wont understand and for the women that have been violated and never wanted to be in the situation. To our children in school who will not learn truth but whitewashed versions of history. I pray all parents take it in there own hands to teach there children what the schools will not and every other thing they can to try and make it through these four years so that if we make it through those who did not learn will and vote with not just financial, hatered or racism, but with a clearer mind and a kinder heart. We cant change what happened. Yet all will see what there decision will cost so many. I hope we make it through for not just ourselves and others, but for our future and all those who will come after 😔

I was entrenched in the Christian church. I am still a follower of Jesus, no longer a church-goer. My So-called Christian friends all voted for Trump like lemmings. Pastors like Greg Laurie and others were on TBN telling their followers to vote for Trump. The Dems did nothing wrong. The Trump supporters have chosen evil. Therefore, they chose a evil leader. Simple. It's like a winnowing between good and evil. They are loveless and soulless. But remember there are 50% of us who have not bowed the knee to evil. You aren't alone.
