My clone had a successful recovery (on personal vehicle). I believe it is to do with the software as I was using a modded version of the cracked 2.80 ktag. The general rule is that these can sometimes fail due to faulty components. They also struggle with checksums so make sure that the checksums are done in software not in ktag. If you do a read before you write you can confirm that everything is in working order before use. The main thing is that you cannot use clones on vehicles older than 2014 there is a 90% chance that they will not work.
