I'm not a big fan of the secondary lock, but it looks like you could probably just take it out and make some kind of plug.

I own the original Large Pyrite, "Not the XL Pyrite lite, " like you're showing. Love it. Mine is the drop point blade, like yours. Had to grab a Pyrite lite when they came out. I think the second lock is a gimik. Thanks for the video, Jerad.

I have the light.I love the knife . I lost my blue one . I ordered a green one right away . Very easy to sharpen

Mine's coming in a few days. Yeah, don't like the secondary lock either. I'm going to see if it can be removed and the holes "artistically" plugged. Otherwise, LOVE IT! My regular size Pyrite Lite is a fantastic EDC.

Have the standard Light. I'm so used to my Manix, bracing the butt of the handle in my palm to pull the ball lock. Used this hold closing the Pyrite and found out a couple of times that the blades tip will nip ya.

Would get one but that lock kills it for me too. Shame they didnt just keep it the same as the regular lite.

I think the purpose is locking closed and not locking open. I have the new version and it really does nothing for keeping locked open securely. But closed it works well...if that's their intent

I bought the white grip with the black coat on the blade, regular size& love CJRB I have but I can't find the one with the white handle and copper blade so if you can please let me know where to go or who is carrying it that would be great because I want the white with copper because it just look so nice. Please send me a site or store that might have em in stock. Thanks again, been a fan for years and I have almost 120 different knives. Thanks for showing me how much variety there really is out there, from $30-$4000.
