The new Mercedes Benz GLC now gets bigger, more luxurious, and techier than before. In terms of styling, it's now blinged out with chrome bits everywhere on the body. The cabin now looks even more premium with top-notch materials everywhere. The GLC 300 gets a 254bhp, 400Nm, 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine makes it quick on its feet. There's also a 2.0-litre turbo-diesel on offer. The GLC also gets mild-hybrid tech with both engines that add to the performance as well as the efficiency. The performance is complemented by the ride and handling of the new GLC. The 2023 Mercedes Benz GLC does many things right. So much so that our assistant Ed Aatish Mishra feels it's a proper all-rounder.

Really hate the capsule design in the front seats.

The centre console is so much higher than the lower front seats make you feel so confined in free movement in airiness.

It's underequipped for the price for sure! But so are all the 3 German offerings. Japanese are expensive due to CBU/CKD. Blame the Rupee exchange rate, inflation or the low self esteem and inferiority complex of Avg Indian customer who buys / is capable of buying these expensive propositions. But hey, it's less bang for the buck in any which way one sees v/s what one gets in the US/EU markets!

Reviewrs too avoid pointing out at shortcomings / shortchanging wrt features. I rest my case.
