I’m a pretty new Horror newbie. I’ve read some, but not much. I read The Mist and Pet Semetary. But using your videos, I made a pretty big list. I started spooky season in August lol. I already read The Haunting of Hill House. Now I’m reading The Shinning and The Girl With All The Gifts. I also plan on reading The Only Good Indians, Blood Meridian, The Fisherman, and The Road. This is just for this year. My list is way way bigger lol. You’re a legend Mike. Keep doing what you do. Hope you’re well.

Great intro, Mike. You put us all in the mood to be creeped out. I'm finishing up The Invisible Man, then I'm moving on to The Exorcist and then finishing up with the classic Dracula. I can't wait to watch the leaves fall and the goosebumps to appear.

This is my wife's favorite genre, so I have some more book gifts lined up for her now! I think she'll especially appreciate The Hollow Places since she's an Anne Rice fan.

happy that Spooky Season is finally here! Very interesting choices. I look forward to hearing about these books. Please don't forget about mixing in some horror from time to time on the channel and when you get the by Blake Crouch et al!!! I have been alternating between the Dresden Files and F. Paul Wilson's Repairman Jack series. I think I am going to be doing Boys in the Valley next for my Spooky Season read.

Slewfoot is one I'm trying to get in this season also. I enjoyed Brom's Krampus, so I'm willing to read more of his works. His art is incredible!
I read The Hollow Places back when it came out, and I think that's one you'll enjoy. It definitely has that Lovecraft vibe, and I enjoy the humor that Kingfisher adds to the story.

My spooky read this year is Dracula! I'm excited to finally get to it - especially since the movie is coming this winter. I'm really interested in what you think of The Hollow Places, for a specific reason I won't say until you're done!

I’ve started speaks the night bird to start Spooky season, after that for my physical reads I’m doing The exorcist, cujo, the October country, the Halloween tree and scary stories to tell in the dark. And for audiobooks I’ll do All Hallows, boys in the valley, dark harvest, Fantastic Land. They’re all super short apart from Speaks the nightbird so it’ll be a nice break from the chonkers I’ve been doing in a row recently

I'm going to be reading Mothman the facts behind the legend. As of this writing it's Mothmanfest in Point Pleasant West Virginia and I am reading about him. My spooky read. I have a copy of War of the Worlds and I loved it. I did wish it was more grown up.
