"Dead Friends" is Changsik"s graduation project created for Sheridan College Animation in Oakville, Canada. Within the course of a year it has been screened at over 30 film festivals all over the world. Special thanks to everyone who helped create this film.

Before judging the video and everything, please take a second to realise this animation was made by only 1 guy and it was his College graduation project. Which means he didn't had 10 years of work experience behind him.

I wish people wouldnt judge this animation so hard... i went to animation school and what this student accomplished by himself is nothing short of incredible! I know its easier to judge if you havent animated before but to accomplish what he did is no small feat. In order to create this you have to also think about how much time was spent even before animating. Such as conceptualizing, creating a story, character concept art, storyboarding, set creation, character modelling, shading, lighting, audio, not to mention the short amount of time given my schools to complete the project. So much that goes into the animation process, so please be kind when looking at smaller films :).

This movie was sad, funny, horrifying, beautiful, cute. How can anything be all those things plus more? It is absolutely, momentarily, brilliant.

To everyone questioning why this won an award. Not every animator is as good as Pixar or Dreamworks, and for good reason cause those studios have LOTS of people working on their projects.

Keep in mind that these animated shorts are being compared to other animated shorts from independent artists. Let's see you make something better than this. Even if you study multimedia arts chances are you still won't be able to make something as good as this unless you're actually talented.

Me when I saw the thumbnail: I know I would regret it if I watched it.. the last time I watched a video when a dog got killed I couldn't go to the bathroom alone for 2 weeks cause I was so scared! Well, I WAS only what the hell.
