I’ve got the same black and silver Mallets and they are ROCk solid. Also, hub engagement is way underrated on a mountain bike. I pulled mine apart and, for $40, put in 3 more pawls to make six and tighten up the ratio. That makes a big difference on fast technical stuff when shifting body weight around corners or obstacles and then quickly getting power down to the pedals.

Jeff quit slacking and get a real bike. I saw one at Walmart on Black Friday it was all shiny and green.

Nice ride, I have a 2020 trek ex fuel 9.7 on the way ordered it on Monday. Also will be ordering SRAM SRAM xx1 ax’s with the dropper seat post. I am picturing that rainbow cassette and chain up against the Miami green to Teal fade paint. This will be my first full suspension bike for me ever. I have always ridden hard tails. I also a ride road and gravel, so this will be bike number 4. Bikes are 2019 trek Madone SLR project one. 2019 cannondale top stone, 2017 trek Farley. Did my first road race on my Madone two weekends ago. Hope to more competing next year on the fuel and the gravel bike. I really enjoy the channel keep up. Nothing like a new bike day lol.

Hi Jeff, can you talk about/review the Revel Rail sometime soon? I'm more interested in a bigger susp 275. Thanks mate.

CBF... that’s why I still have a 2016 Balance. Everything I’ve tried up to now doesn’t ride nearly as good imo. I do have a lot invested in my suspension, combine that with CBF and it’s untouchable. 11-6 in rear, 2016 fox 36 with Push ACS-3 and Avalanche Damper with all the bells and whistles.

Love that bike by the way.

Great set-up, why change anything, but the tires, when you wanna try the new flavors. Everyone has the parts they really like.
Personally I wouldn’t build up a rig with less than i30 rims and most likely will be going i35 because I like the way 2.6” tires shape with that combo. Other parts are just really about what I prefer. I’m using the new 4 piston XTR trail brakes and like them but I’m used to Shimano brakes.
