For those of you new to the patent world, In this channel, I've taught my viewers how to read patents. Patents don't tell the whole story only part. And they use a combination of images new and old to have examples of the feature in use. Keep that in mind. If you need to see my track record, Search my videos, "Switch Edition" You will see a patent before every Nintendo Switch edition since the first edition Switch.

The right joycon at 2:51 in this video shows only one button on the face, but shows two buttons from the side... (Under the stick)

This makes no sense for the magnets to be there. This is probably alternative design they have and they patent it just in case.

According to the patent, those spots where you think they are using magnets don't mention magnets. They are terminals, but they seem different from the connection points on the Switch. With the Switch Joycon, you can see a series of wires underneath the railing, which is how it makes a physical connection. In this patent, it looks like this connection isn't hidden away, but is right on the outside, and not necessarily wires either.

Except for "dots" on the new joy-cons its also a little dot on the console itself under the screen to the left. Could that be a camera that have been rumored?

The switch already has a ambient light sensor. How else would the auotbrightness feature on it work. If you look at the front of the screen at the top you can see where it is. The switch lite does not have that feature though. Also the switch already has a cooling fan as well as a temperature sensor for the fan. It just doesn't have magnetic force sensor.

this is nice and everything mike, but you left out the bottom of this patent, has a patent for a vr headset. and in the text it describes it as a HMD, meaning its a full fledged vr device.

Only 3m in, but that part you said “I believe in the magnetic part” isn’t. It’s on our current joycon. It’s a section that connects your joycon to your switch to charge.

It’s a little board, and they have one on the rail as well. It’s “hidden” under a lip, but is clearly visible.

It’s been there since day 1.
