Acetone does not damage the color of the premium cars. The premium series have a much more resilient finish than mainlines. That said be careful with the wheel and tires.

I tried with some isopropyl alcohol. The package lose little bit color and little bit of torn paper around the edges. It wasn't effective, but the car got safely taken out and the package wasn't heavily damaged

I've been doing this for years, has anyone else just recently start having problems with this technique? For me it started about a month ago. And only for 'ever so often' cars. Now it's with every car that the card just starts curling up like soggy paper and the glue stays stuck to the blister.
