I got hooked on Korean historical dramas years ago with “Queen Seondeok” - so popular they extended it to 90 episodes I think. No longer on Netflix unfortunately.

As a white American I find Korean dramas a bit easier to follow than Chinese but I’m in awe of the effort China puts into their historical epics such as Red Cliff (no longer on Netflix either).
