Loved this! ❤ I think it’s good to remember that we probably already have something in our closet that works. I love wearing jeans with something sparkly. I have a burgundy red sequin top and dangling earrings that I wear with my jeans every year during the holidays. I also like wearing a leather skirt with a red or black cashmere sweater. Very basic but I feel that leather elevates things. Thanks for these ideas Nancy! 😊

My closet is 95% thrifted premium quality and brands, I have a few pieces that I fall back on each year.
My 30 year old silk simple sweater with metallic threads but no embellishments is my go to, wore it to a wedding with a thrifted satin pleated skirt and suede boots back in late October.
I think it’s really important to have pieces that are “special”, that can be incorporated all year into outfits with high contrast, dressy and casual make a great juxtaposition.

Ooooo…you must have read my mind. I was online yesterday planning out some outfits for this season’s fun and came to this conclusion. If I buy something make it something I will use again. I literally have a beautiful blouse from last year I haven’t worn (I’m wearing it this year), and plenty of nice comfortable pants and shoes. It’s my company party I will find something to wear but an item (like a stylish fun sweater, possible poncho type) I can wear all through this fall/winter. I also need to add some wide leg jeans to my wardrobe so I will just add them in because. Plus, some events are with different groups of people so I will be repeating outfits…😉❤ Thank you for all of your nice tips 😊
