ABOUT KNIGHT RIDER:
David Hasselhoff stars as Michael Knight in his breakout role as a crime fighter who awakens from a serious injury with a new identity. In the series premiere, Las Vegas police detective Michael Arthur Long is shot in the face and left for dead before being rescued by dying millionaire Wilton Knight, the chairman of Knight Industries and creator of the public justice organization, the Foundation for Law and Government (FLAG). Wilton makes Michael the primary agent for FLAG, giving him a new identity via plastic surgery and the name Michael Knight, plus an arsenal of equipment to continue his crime-fighting work. Principle among this equipment is the Knight Industries Two Thousand, or KITT, a heavily modified and artificially intelligent Pontiac Firebird Trans Am with the ability to talk, fire weapons and travel at high speed. Michael and KITT work together to take down criminals who operate above the law.

Holy f'ing crap! THAT was awesome. I was just too young for this show back in the 80's. I watched it for the sci-fi action adventure elements back then. I couldn't appreciate all the humor those two were churning out until I grew up. If William and David don't have an image of K.I.T.T. on their individual tombstones upon their passing this planet's orbit around the sun is going to grind to a halt. Those two are global treasures because of that show and they must be remembered properly.

while the 2008 series had its moments and probably wouldve been even better should it had gotten another season (not to mention i grew up on that series) the original will always be better. theres just something about kitt's personality that will always make the show unique and a absolute joy to watch again and again. he was prideful in his abilties but knew his limits and admitted as such, he was clever while also naive

I bought all seasons on DVD, this (Knight Rider) being at the top along with Airwolf, Macgyver and Fall Guy were my favorite tv shows. Gunsmoke is not from my time but the show is another favorite, pretty much the best show ever made.

The Bluray release is nice to have but it could have been a BETTER release. One day I hope they release it in 4K HDR
