I think one of the reasons why this show is so memorable is because it is a parody of other magic stories like Harry Potter combined with a regular DIsney Channel teenager show. The spells and magic in general don't have a lot of research in them, like the literal Latin translations in Harry Potter of WItches of East End, but they say something random which doesn't even need to rhyme and make a joke out of it. And that works very well for this show.
