Generac is a dominant player in the generator industry, especially in the home standby generator market, where it controls about 70% of the market share. This is largely driven by increasing consumer demand for backup power solutions, particularly as power grid reliability comes under pressure from rising outages and extreme weather conditions. Generac has effectively capitalized on this trend by offering reliable products and solutions to homeowners and businesses alike.

Generac is not just limited to generators; the company is increasingly expanding into the clean energy sector. It has launched products and services in energy storage, solar power, and microgrid solutions. These ventures into renewable energy technologies align with global shifts toward sustainable energy and decentralized power sources, giving Generac additional growth potential. Recent acquisitions of companies like Ecobee and Wallbox further position it as a leader in both power generation and energy management solutions.

Power. I am loving this deep dive series because you bring us through the DD process which a lot of the generic tutorials do a very general runthrough of. Shld i be concerned that i lack the natural talent to pick up on macro and micro trends like trying to predict when demand will return or when govt policies will he advantageous for the company? Or does this come with experience?
