So, this house would be in the north end, other wise know as the hood. Was likely a murder in this house or not far from the steps of this house. Reno just means YouTube contracted by DIY. The house should come with a bullet proof vest and a Ouija board. Yard full of used needles and neighbour’s will be your local drug house as yes they will look out for your house, only when your not there so they could rob it. If you plan to live here with children, don’t. Convicted child molesters will be living in your area because this is where rent is the cheapest and this is where danger lurks.

Don’t get me wrong it’s not bad for the price but it makes you wonder what the area is for it to be that low . It wouldn’t be a bad starting home for someone

As a local Winnipeg resident - if this house is anywhere close to the North End, or in St. Norbert - I cant see a soul interested in it

Lmao. Just at the end of the street there’s a dude who sells crack on a pulley system out his window. In some basket lol.

noticed the empty lot to the right probably a burnt down house and if you leave your house unattended for more than 12 hours you either get broken into or get squatters

The gunshot sounds will wake you up at night in that area, no thanks.

In case anyone is wondering this is on Berlin st. google map still shows how the house look like pre Covid.

The house was build in 1914, it was sold on December 1st, for 169800, (cheaper than listing price). The house was assessed by the city for 210 thousand back in 2021, and now for 198 thousand. The house is located in Talbots neighborhood. It’s one of the lowest cost of living area in Manitoba, has about a 8000/100k crimes/100k people. Higher than Winnipeg averages, double the national average. 1/3 are violent crimes with other drug and property damage related. It also has about 11% unemployment rate.

that house may have been rough before but goddamn did the renovation completely suck any soul out of it 😭 almost $200k for a white and grey box, probably also has issues that were ignored during renos to get it on the market cheap and quick.

174 thousand tells me that house is in the north end. Some east indians will snatch it up. I lived for 20 years in the north end, im never going back.

Prospective buyer" how far to the bus". Realtor " I don't know so far nobody has ever made it".

ive lived in wpg for a year and learned 3 things, stay out the north end, housing prices are a rip off, and the chances of seeing a drug deal, prostitution, or even a homicide are higher than you'd like to think...
