The program aims to develop awareness and an understanding of the WPS agenda by providing a basic level of understanding of the key concepts and issues related to the roles and contributions of women in all aspects of #peacemaking, #peacekeeping, #peacebuilding, #humanitarian assistance in conflict/post-conflict contexts and post-conflict rebuilding of communities and disaster management.
This workshop will address the following topics; What is the #Women, Peace and Security Agenda, The road to the #UnitedNations Security Council resolutions on Women, Peace and Security, The four pillars of the Women, Peace and Security Agenda, Implementing the Women, Peace and Security Agenda in the #Middle_East and finally, achievements and emerging issues in #Women, #Peace and #security agenda.
Purpose:
Raising the awareness of the Women, Peace and Security Agenda in the Middle East.

تهدف ورشة العمل المقترحة إلى تطوير وعي وفهم المهتمين في الشرق الأوسط وشمال افريقيا بأجندة المرأة والسلام والأمن، والقضايا التي
تتبناها، ومنها على سبيل المثال لا الحصر: مشاركة المرأة في صنع وبناء السلام، حفظ السلام وإعادة بناء مجتمعات ما بعد الصراع.
محاور ورشة العمل
1. التعريف بأجندة المرأة والسلام والأمن
2. قرارات الأمم المتحدة المعنية وأبرزها قرار 1325 لعام 2000.
3. الركائز الأساسية لأجندة المرأة والسلام والأمن.
4. تطبيقات الأجندة في شمال افريقيا والشرق الأوسط: النجاحات والاخفاقات
5. مستقبل أجندة المرأة والسلام والأمن والتحديات المرتبطة بها
