Multiplication is a way of adding or counting equal numbers repeatedly. When each group has the same number, we use multiplication to find out how many are there in all.

Terms of Multiplication
*The number by which another number is multiplied is called the multiplier.
*The number that is being multiplied is called the multiplicand.
*The answer obtained after multiplication is called the product.
4 x 2 = 8
Here, 4 is multiplicand, 2 is multiplier and 8 is the product.
