A must see attraction when visiting Los Angeles. I have been here many times and always feel different every time I visit. Highly recommended for anyone who have never been there.

I took a Lyft there, then I took a Dash bus when I left the park.

You can park in that lot and hike up a back trail to the front door of the observatory

You mentioned the shuttle was free? Was this on a holiday or something? I looked at the website and it mentioned it was a low fee of .50 cents.

Fun fact Griffith j Griffith who wanted this building to be built Los Angeles denied his Christmas present to the city of los Angeles (Griffith observatory) but he left it in his will to give money to Los Angeles to build they most likely denied him cause he recently got out of prison for shoot his wife in the eye
