There’s no substitute for the sun for your plants 🌱My plants doubled in size! #plants #plantgoals

There’s truly no substitute for the power of the sun when it comes to plant growth! 🌱 This summer, I gave some of my houseplants a vacation outdoors, and they thrived like never before. In just 3 months, they grew more outside than they had in a whole year under grow lights or inside my greenhouse!
Butbringing your houseplants outside for summer can be tricky if you don’t protect them properly from the sun. Here’s how to safely transition your plants without risking sunburn or shock:
• 🌿 Start with shade: Gradually introduce your plants to outdoor light by starting them in a shady spot. They’ll need time to adjust to the intensity of natural sunlight.
• 💧 Keep them hydrated: Outdoor conditions can dry your plants out quicker than inside, so make sure you’re checking soil moisture often. This summer, 90% of my plants were happy with being watered once a week.
• 🌳 Use protection: If your plant starts showing signs of burning, move it to partial shade or use a shade cloth to reduce light exposure.
• 🍃 Monitor regularly: Outdoor environments can introduce pests. Keep an eye out and check leaves regularly for any unwanted visitors.
🌼 Let your plants soak up that summer sunshine—just make sure to do it safely! 🪴✨
As summer comes to a close, make sure to save this post so you can put your plants out like a pro next year! 🌞🌿
