AI, Internet of Things, and the Health Care Industry

The Internet of Things (IoT) has rapidly expanded in the medical and health arena. New innovations include connected remote monitoring devices, patient engagement tools, Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based automated detection and diagnosis, and smart operating rooms. Seeking to keep pace with the speed of innovation, both the U.S. FCC and FDA have announced new programs and policy initiatives meant to support and expedite these novel medical solutions.
