On Linux, this is a nice alternative to the Arc A770 with the added benefit of AMD's plug and play drivers. Very tempting purchase at or below $300.

Just grabbed the Gigabyte 3 fan version at Microcenter yesterday. Replaced my 7600 8GB and Did some raytracing in a few games last night, Was getting more than 120FPS all high settings 1440p. With the Reg 7600 I was lucky to get 30FPS. Not that I am an RT always person, but without RT in the same games I tried last night I was getting 200 - 400FPS. With Stats the most VRAM used was just over 12GB. So memory really does help.

Frame generation is essentially sample and hold motion blur reduction for higher refresh rate monitors. You want your base frame rate to be as high as possible for latency reduction and to get the most out of the card, but frame generation can make sure your panel is hitting its native refresh rate.

Like for like 6600xt vs 7600xt would have been appreciated, something I think all hardware reviews should include is the previous gen product in the same bracket

Personally, the small extra cost of a bit more memory is a good thing. While maybe not worth it today, from the point of view of longevity it could keep cards from going to ewaste much sooner.

I got this as I couldn't get my hands on a 6700xt for a reasonable price. Got the xfx 2 fan 7600xt for under 300 new I'm very happy went from a rx 5700xt to this.pleased with the results.

As someone currently rockin' a pair of RX 480 (8G) cards, the 7600 XT looks like an attractive upgrade. Better GPU performance, lower total power draw, the same amount of VRAM, and it frees a PCIe slot on my motherboard? For $320~$350? Sounds like a deal!

Then I also have some cards to upgrade older machines pressed into service as servers.

Seems like a decent card for general use and gaming. Just afraid that the card is going to be overpriced in EU.

3:20 I mean the 6700 XT is better eveywhere vs the 7600 XT for basically the same price.
So, no improvements beside the AV1 encodinging

Can't even get it in Canada yet. Would not be the first time the rest of the world got a graphics card that we never see. Like the A580 never existed here either.

For AI inference is actually very good, that extra memory really helps. You can generate 11 images on stable difussion per 1 minute, with the 6700 xt you can do only 3 per minute

I don't know much about this stuff would this be good to play games like Baldurs gate 3 and the total war games on?

just bought this model, at this point 8gbs for a gpu is ok if all you play is counter strike, anything else needs 12-20gbs just to run anything worthwhile, the future proof over slightly worse stats that will be fixed in an eventual drivers update. easy pick

i hope Amd will have the same level of support as Nvidia when it comes to wsl soon.
