As a astrophotographer, the first picture is fake and the second is an out of focus asteroid that closer to earth captured in a long exposure image.

Estimates to the number of earth like planets, and “Are we really alone?”. Life exists in any way shape or form you can equate that to like counting each grain of sand on the surface of earth, and that each grain of sand represents a galaxy that should give one some idea. Then it would be impossible to put a figure on the number of earth like planets. As to the question of “Are we really alone?”. We never were and we never will be.
